The Penn State Office of Student Aid is the hub for student loans, grants, scholarships, and aid available to all Penn State students. To be eligible for student aid, you should complete the U.S. Department of Education Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon after January 1 as possible for maximum consideration of available student aid programs.

Penn State scholarships are awarded to outstanding students and are highly competitive due to limited funding. In order to be considered for scholarships awarded by the Office of Student Aid, you must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to Penn State.

College of Earth and Mineral Sciences Scholarships >>

The College of Earth and Mineral Sciences provides financial aid to its students in good academic standing through various scholarships and academic award competitions. For some awards, you must submit a completed application.

EME Scholarships and Awards >>

The John and Willie Leone Family Department of Energy and Mineral Engineering awards several scholarships throughout the year to undergraduate students pursuing degrees within the department. To be considered for EME scholarships, you must complete the online application form by April 1 of each year.
